​Elliott Gould ( Mash, The Long Goodbye, Ocean’s 12, Ocean’s 13) voices Rabbi Ben Zakkai, the greatest sage of his time. Ben Zakkai is around the same age as Jesus and they may possibly have known one another. Ben Zakkai ultimately saved the Oral Law from being lost after the destruction of the Second Temple by establishing a center of study in Yavne, ultimately writing the oral law down.
